Privacy notice
Last updated 2026-10-31.
This notice explains what personal datan Anteclaim processes when you visit this website or send us an inquiry, why, and what rights you have. We collect as little as we need.
1. Who is responsible
The controller is Leon Becker, trading as Anteclaim, Wachtstrasse 25, 8134 Adliswil, Switzerland. Email: research@anteclaim.com.
We are based in Switzerland, so the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) applies. Because we offer our services to clients in the European Union and the European Economic Area, we also follow the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where it applies to our processing.
2. Visiting the website
This website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (Cloudflare Pages). When you load a page, your browser necessarily transmits technical data such as your IP address, the page requested, date and time, and browser information. Cloudflare processes this data to deliver the site and protect it against attacks and abuse. We do not use it to identify you.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It does not set cookies, does not use local storage, and does not build profiles of individual visitors. It provides us with aggregated statistics only.
This website does not use cookies for tracking or advertising, and it does not embed third-party advertising or social-media trackers.
3. Research inquiries
When you submit the inquiry form we receive your name, email address, the type of research, your description, and any optional details you add (company, patent or publication number, timeline). Form submissions are processed by Formspree, Inc., which receives the data, filters spam and forwards it to our mailbox. If you email us directly, your message is processed by our email provider (Cloudflare, Inc. (Email Routing), forwarding to Google LLC (Gmail)).
We use this information to respond to you, scope the work and prepare a quotation, and, if you engage us, to carry out the engagement. Inquiry contents are not passed to AI services. Under the GDPR, the legal basis is the taking of steps at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interest in responding to business correspondence (Art. 6(1)(f)).
Please do not include confidential invention details in an initial inquiry. If an engagement requires confidential material, we agree the handling arrangements with you in writing first.
If you engage us, invoices are issued and payments processed by Stripe, Inc. (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. for European customers), which receives the billing details needed to invoice and collect payment. Under the GDPR, the legal basis is the performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) and our legal obligation to keep accounting records (Art. 6(1)(c)).
4. Recipients and international transfers
We share personal data only with the service providers named above, who process it on our behalf, and where we are legally required to. Cloudflare, Formspree and Stripe are based in, or transfer data to, the United States and may process data outside Switzerland and the EEA. Where data is transferred to a country without an adequate level of data protection, we rely on the safeguards offered by the provider, such as standard contractual clauses or certification under the applicable Data Privacy Framework.
We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising.
5. Retention
We keep inquiry correspondence for as long as needed to respond and, where an engagement follows, for the duration of the business relationship and any statutory retention period (in Switzerland, generally ten years for business records). Inquiries that do not lead to an engagement are deleted within 24 months unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
6. Your rights
Subject to the applicable law, you may request access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, or a copy of data you provided to us, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interests. To exercise these rights, email research@anteclaim.com.
You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority: in Switzerland, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC); in the EU/EEA, the data protection authority of your country of residence or work.
7. Security
This website is served exclusively over HTTPS. Access to inquiry data is limited to the people who need it to respond to you.
8. Changes
We will update this notice if our processing changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
